You can easily test whether Click Buddha’s Form Protection is detecting and blocking spam submissions correctly by performing a few quick checks.
Step 1: Ensure Form Protection Is Enabled
-
Login to your Click Buddha Dashboard.
-
Go to Domain Settings from the sidebar.
-
Scroll down to Website Protection and confirm Form Protection is enabled.
Step 2: Use a Test Spam Word
-
In the Spam Words list, add a unique test word (for example:
testspamword) for a specific field. -
Save your settings.
Step 3: Submit a Form on Your Website
-
Go to your website and fill out the form using that test spam word in one of the protected fields.
-
Example: Enter “testspamword” in a specified field.
Step 4: Check the Response
-
If Detection Mode is ON → the form submission will appear in Logs as “Detected Spam”, it will prevent form from submission.
-
If Block Mode is ON → the form submission will be blocked, it will prevent form from submission.
Step 5: Verify in Click Buddha Dashboard
-
Go to Blocked Submissions under the relevant domain.
-
Confirm that your test entry is listed there with spam details (word match, IP, etc.).
✅ Tip: Use multiple test entries to ensure all protected form fields (like name, email, message) are working as expected.
If you’re using a custom form, make sure your form field names in Click Buddha match your website’s input names.
